Quiet and clean. The patio in the photo is a soft grey blend with a dark border, and a low wall in a matching stone that stands in for a fence line and doubles as seating at the end of the slab.
Grey is a safe color, but not a boring one. A blend has light and dark pieces in it, so the surface has some depth up close and reads as one calm color from across the yard. The dark border draws a frame around the field and keeps the edge clean where pavers meet sand or lawn. That is what makes it look finished.

WEEDS AND DIPS
Will weeds and dips show up in a few years?
Not if the job is built right. People think pavers mean constant weeding and a surface that sags by the third year. Both can happen, and both are installation problems. They are not a paver problem.
We prevent them three ways. The base gets compacted properly before any paver goes down. The joints get polymeric bonding sand, which hardens enough to lock the pavers together and leaves weed seeds nowhere to root. And we seal the pavers every two to three years going forward, which also holds the color against the Florida sun.
Rainbow River country gets its share of storms, and a weak base does not survive them. The installations we get called out to repair almost always trace back to a shortcut that nobody could see on the day the crew left, which is why a finished surface tells you so little about what is underneath it. Ask about compaction before you sign. It is the single most useful question you can put to a paver contractor.
