DRIVEWAY BENEFITS
Why Choose a Paver Driveway?
Your driveway is the first thing visitors see. A paver driveway makes a lasting impression while outperforming concrete in durability, strength, and longevity.
Superior Strength
Interlocking pavers can support 8,000+ pounds, more than poured concrete. Perfect for multiple vehicles.
Won't Crack
Unlike concrete that cracks over time, pavers flex with ground movement and remain intact for decades.
Instant Curb Appeal
A paver driveway dramatically improves your home's first impression and market value.
Easy Repairs
If a paver ever needs replacement, individual units can be swapped without disturbing the rest.
DRIVEWAY INSTALLATION
Professional Paver Driveway Installation
Driveway installation requires proper base preparation and load-bearing construction. Our process ensures a driveway that handles daily use for decades.
Site Assessment
We evaluate your existing driveway or new site, measure precisely, and discuss design options.
Base Preparation
Proper excavation and compacted aggregate base layers are critical. We build for Florida's sandy soil conditions.
Precision Installation
Our crew installs pavers in load-bearing patterns like herringbone, with proper edge restraints and joint sand.
Final Compaction
We compact the finished surface, apply Gator Maxx G2 polymeric sand, and complete a thorough cleanup.
DESIGN OPTIONS
Driveway Design Options
Your driveway should complement your home's architecture. We offer multiple design approaches to match any style.
Herringbone Pattern
The strongest installation pattern. Interlocking 45° or 90° angles distribute vehicle weight evenly.
Basket Weave
A classic pattern that creates visual interest while maintaining structural integrity.
Running Bond
Clean, linear look that works beautifully with contemporary home styles.
Decorative Borders
Accent your driveway with contrasting borders that frame and define the space.
BUILT TO LAST
The Foundation That Makes Driveways Last
A paver driveway is only as good as what's underneath it. Florida's sandy soil and the weight of vehicles demand proper base preparation that many contractors shortcut. We don't.
Excavation Depth: Driveways require deeper excavation than patios or walkways. We typically excavate 12-14 inches to accommodate the base layers, bedding sand, and pavers. This depth allows proper compaction and ensures the finished surface sits at the correct height relative to your garage floor and street.
Compacted Aggregate Base: Multiple layers of crushed aggregate are installed and compacted to 95%+ density. Each layer is compacted before the next is added, creating a rock-solid foundation that won't shift under vehicle weight. We use laser levels to ensure proper grade for drainage.
Edge Restraints: Heavy-duty edge restraints anchor the perimeter of your driveway, preventing pavers from spreading outward under traffic loads. We use commercial-grade restraints secured with steel spikes, not the lightweight plastic strips that fail within a few years.
Bedding Sand: A precisely leveled layer of coarse bedding sand provides the final surface for paver placement. This layer allows minor adjustments during installation to achieve a perfectly flat finished surface.
This multi-layer approach takes more time and material than cutting corners, but it's why our driveways remain level and stable for decades while improperly installed driveways develop ruts, settling, and shifting.
DONE RIGHT THE FIRST TIME
Can Pavers Go Over Your Existing Concrete Driveway?
No. That job is one of the most common repairs we get called out to fix. Thin veneer pavers, the ones that run about 1 1/4 inches, are manufactured for foot traffic. That is not our opinion. The manufacturer rates them for areas like paver patios and lanais, and a driveway is neither.
Contractors install them over an existing concrete driveway anyway, because it is faster and cheaper than doing it properly. It looks fine at first. Then the concrete underneath moves the way concrete always moves, the veneer has nothing to flex with, and within a few years the pavers start cracking. Once they crack, there is no patching your way back out of it.
Our recommendation in those cases is always the same. Take the whole thing out, concrete pad included, and rebuild with pavers rated for vehicular traffic at 2 3/8 inches thick. Homeowners usually flinch when they hear the slab has to go. It is easier than it sounds. Breaking out an old driveway and hauling it off typically takes us about half a day, and from there we are building on a properly compacted base instead of somebody else's shortcut.

LONG-TERM VALUE
The Value of a Paver Driveway
Your driveway is one of the first things visitors and potential buyers notice about your home. A paver driveway creates immediate curb appeal that sets your property apart from neighbors with standard concrete or asphalt.
Curb Appeal: Custom colors, patterns, and borders transform a functional surface into a design element that complements your home's architecture. Whether you prefer the timeless look of brick-style pavers or the elegance of tumbled stone, your driveway becomes a statement rather than an afterthought.
Resale Value: Real estate professionals consistently note that quality hardscaping helps homes sell faster and at higher prices. A paver driveway signals to buyers that the property has been well-maintained and upgraded with lasting materials.
Lifetime Cost: While paver driveways cost more upfront than concrete, they often prove more economical over time. Concrete driveways crack within 10-15 years and require full replacement. Paver driveways can last 50+ years with minimal maintenance. If a paver ever cracks, individual units can be replaced for a few dollars rather than thousands.
Insurance Considerations: Some homeowners find that upgraded driveways contribute to better property assessments, potentially affecting insurance valuations positively. Consult your insurance provider about how improvements affect your coverage.
